Lāhui Ho‘okaulike I Ke Kai “People Seeking Balance of the Ocean” is a multidisciplinary group of like-minded community members, scientists, and conservationists who are working to restore the ecological integrity and balanced use of Lāhaina nearshore reefs to sustain the benefits of our natural treasures for our community and generations to come for the Lāhaina area, from Launiupoko to Pu‘u Keka‘a. Through collaboration and community engagement, we hope to restore native fish populations, coral reefs, limu, and invertebrates to healthy levels, to increase the quality of our coastal and stream waters, and to establish balanced use of our beaches and nearshore waters. We hope our efforts will empower and inspire the community to join us to mālama the invaluable resources that have taken care of us for generations.

He ali‘i ka ‘āina; he kauwā ke kanaka. The land is a chief; man is its servant.
